Feathers & Beaky = Happy Chickens.

Feathers & Beaky = Happy Chickens.Happy Healthy Chickens - AVAILABLE NOW!

At Feathers & Beaky they know that you only have to taste an egg to know if the chicken that laid it was a happy one. And a happy chicken needs fresh air, space and lots of good wholesome food!  That’s why they have created a range of foods and treats to give your chickens everything they need to stay healthy and happy - balanced recipes made from 100% natural ingredients and packed with vitamins & minerals.

Feathers & Beaky source their ingredients from local farms, where possible.  Feathers & Beaky foods are 100% natural and they don’t use GM crops, so you can be assured your chickens are getting the best when you feed any of the range from Feathers & Beaky.

Feathers & Beaky is a 100% natural range of tasty chicken foods and treats.  Everyone loves treats and chickens are no exception.   Treats for chickens, it’s about time!

If you have new chickens Feathers & Beaky Chicken Treat is perfect for hand feeding so that they get used to you quickly.  Everyone loves a treat and chickens are no exception.

Feathers & Beaky Chicken Treat is a delicious mix of cereal grains, mealworms and grits that chickens love.  A delicious treat for all chickens over 16 weeks

As it’s so tasty, feed it in the afternoon after your chickens have eaten plenty of their pellets, otherwise, just like us, they could fill up on treats and miss out on all the essential nutritious bits!

We recommend feeding 20 grams a day of the treat and you can either scatter it on the ground or feed from your hand, they are going to love it!  Check your feeders regularly to make sure your chickens don’t go hungry.  Bringing in your feeders at night will go a long way towards deterring unwanted visitors such as rats.  Water should be checked daily (chickens will drink around 300ml per day).

Also available in the Feathers & Beaky range is the new Feathers & Beaky Chick Crumbs.  It’s the ideal food for chicks up to 8 weeks old.  As it doesn’t contain any medicines, it’s also suitable for ducklings and other baby water fowl.  We recommend feeding on a ‘keep freely available’ basis as they will naturally regulate the amount they eat. Once they reach point of lay (around 16 weeks old) they can be moved on to Feathers & Beaky Layers Pellets.

Layers Pellets are the most popular food for laying birds. Layers Pellets should be fed from point of lay, which is around 16 weeks old. They are also suitable for cockerels and roosters (a cockerel is a male bird up to a year old and a rooster is over one year).

For happy, healthy chickens feed Feathers & Beaky Layers Pellets and keep water freely available. An average hen (although we’re not suggesting your chickens are by any means average!) will eat between 100g and 150g a day.

So you want happy chickens?  To see the new natural range of Feathers & Beaky pop into Scampers, in Soham in the heart of Cambridgeshire.
